The story behind Disco Butterflies

Originally launched as Disco Wings, until about a month in it dawned on me that it sounded exactly like Buffalo Wings, which was not the vibe. Renamed it on the spot.

This one also started with the background colour. I always look back at my whole range so far before starting something new, and I'd realised I hadn't worked in this colour for a while, so I built outward from there. It took longer than most to get right. Nature's such good inspiration to keep coming back to, and even though I'd already done dragonflies, butterflies felt like they deserved their own moment. They just represent so much, and they're properly pretty.

The story behind Viva La Vulva

The design that changed how I think about designing. Up to this point my whole method was: be as random and wacky as possible, no deeper reason needed. This was the first time I wanted a print to actually stand for something, specifically, to support Subz_padz, a charity that supplies sanitary products to underprivileged women and girls. I started sketching around themes like the moon, blood, periods, womanhood, and it turned into this abstract piece rather than anything literal.
