Relaxed-fit short dungarees in 100% cotton twill, with adjustable straps, front and bum pockets. The Love Is The Honey print is a pink-and-red checkerboard base with flowers and hearts.
The story behind this print
Named by one of my closest friends, Lettie, who runs her own flower business @happyflowersstudio and has an incredible eye for this kind of thing. I asked her what to call it, and she remembered a line she'd read somewhere in a poetry book, “love is the honey,” and it just fit.
Design-wise, this one started with colour: pink and red, pink and orange, combinations I just can't get enough of. Then the checkers: I've been obsessed with them since I was tiny, grew up in checkered Vans, and I'll find any excuse to work them into a print.
A note on the fabric
This batch of original cut dungarees feel a bit stiff straight out the bag. That's from an Itali dip coating we do after printing, which locks the ink in so your print stays bright for longer. Give them a couple of cold washes and they'll soften up :)
